Quetzal Quest
Quetzal Quest is a grid based puzzle game based off of connecting pieces on a board until all enemies health is depleted. The game takes place in a magical Island Inspired by Mayan Culture. With a light story about how we perceive and interact with nature and non sentient beings. Game Designed and Art done by me Steve and programmed by a very special and talented coder friend!
Jump from chapter to chapter
A first draft of what I’d like to be the Chapter select screen. It’s a small vignette of every chapter and as you hover through the available chapters Luz teleports through the different chapters!
The Gameplay
This is a grid based puzzle game where you can move in 8 directions. Diagonal, sideways, backward or forward to any occupied square. Luz requires to be in line of sight of a target to move. The match ends when when either all enemies are defeated or you run out of enemies to connect too!
Concepts and Illustrations
Inspired by Mayan culture I created a plethora of little dudes. I have plans for more human characters as the story becomes more of a focus.
